We created the 5 Tibetan nomad’s mini dolls ( with the tents, the felt yaks, sheep and dog ) so that young children could imitate or create their own version of a Tibetan nomad’s life. Then we were asked, to write a little story to accompany this set, which was the inspiration to: Once I was a nomad; Pema’s story from Tibet.

When Samdol, our 15 years old daughter did a couple of illustrations to accompany the story, we realized that we had great potential for a charming and educational children’s book. The first covid lockdown aided us to accomplish this goal.
