Her writings have been published by Hachette, Sahitya Akademi and Yeshe: A Journal of Tibetan Literature, Arts and Humanities among others. She holds an MPhil in Literature from the University of Delhi. Kalsang currently lives in Tkaronto (Toronto), Canada.
