Tibetan Traditional Embroidered Hat | Xamo Gyaise

$128.00

In Tibet, the most prevalent style of hat is known as the 'Xamo Gyaise' — the golden thread hat. It features a felt cap base with a top adorned in golden silk and an edge detailed with silk ribbon. The hat is constructed with four flaps — larger ones in the front and back, and smaller ones on the sides — all trimmed with faux fur.

Crafted from fine materials, this hat provides exceptional warmth and is cherished by both men and women. Women typically tuck the larger flaps inside while leaving the smaller ones out, whereas men tuck the side and back flaps inside, leaving the front flap exposed. During snowy conditions, all four flaps are worn outside. The elderly often wear all four flaps outside. The practicality of the golden thread hat sets it apart from other headwear.

Material: Faux fur

Note: Due to the handmade nature of the product, designs and colors may vary slightly
